Provenance - Creators and Custodians

1 The Douglas Shire Wilderness Action Group

The Douglas Shire Wilderness Action Group was formed in September 1983 after the screening by the Rainforest Conservation Society of 2 films, one of the 1968 work on the 4WD track from Cape Tribulation to Bloomfield, and another one of a bushwalker's trip through the then overgrown track. A heated debate followed and the outcome was the formation of WAG, a diverse mixture of people with a fairly wide range of talents and resources.
