Townsville College of Advanced Education Archive
This is a collection of photographs from the 1970s and 1980s showing teaching and librarianship activities at or through the Townsville College of Advanced Education (TCAE). The college operated as an education institution in its own right until James Cook University amalgamated with it in 1982. The issue of amalgamation with James Cook University in the early 1980s is also covered in a scrapbook dedicated to this proposal. Many of the photographs in this collection focus on the college library's exteriors and interiors, particularly during construction phases. Notably, the collection has a little-known photograph of Eddie Mabo lecturing in 1975.
