Talaroo Station Archive
Talaroo Station was originally part of Dagworth Station, of which Eveleigh and Vanleigh (spelling uncertain) were also part. Talaroo was subdivided from Dagworth in 1924 and in 1936 Myles Lyons made a deal at Hughenden to take over Talaroo. Myles' son, Jim Lyons, assumed ownership of Talaroo and moved there in 1937. In 1963, according to the Australian Pastoral Directory (Queensland Section), there were 816 cattle on the station.
