Pimlico, Douglas, Cairns Campus and Townsville CAE Photographs Archive
Photograph collection of framed and captioned high quality black and white photographs of Pimlico, Douglas and Cairns campuses, and Townsville College of Advanced Education. The collection is divided into two sections.
The first focuses on the development of the Pimlico and Douglas campuses during the 1960s and early 1970s, as described in an accompanying document titled ‘Memories in Black and White’. This document provides background information regarding the themes covered in the photographs (of which there are 87), and also annotates what each photograph is about. The themes covered in the photographs are as follows:

The second section is a series of photographs depicting student and staff activities at Pimlico, Douglas and Cairns campuses from the 1960s to the 1990s, as described in an accompanying document titled ‘Life at JCU: A study in Black & White photographs of life at James Cook University 1960-1996’. This document provides descriptions of 68 photographs and the themes covered in these photographs are as follows:
