Marshall Archive
The late John Marshall was one of the first administrators of the University College of Townsville (UCT) and was a keen photographer who took many photos of the area, including many aerial shots taken during the 1960s. Marshall was appointed as a member of staff to the University College of Townsville in 1961, its first year of operation. He served continuously for twenty-five years with the College and, subsequently, James Cook University.

MC/1/ - Plaque presented by the Chancellor, Sir George Kneipp, to John William Marshall for 25 years' service, 9 August 1986.
MC/2/ - set of black and white photographs, possibly aftermath of Cyclone Althea (25 December 1971). In box marked ''Administration General Services' with date 4 February 1972.
MC/3/ - set of black and white photographs: reproductions of earlier photographs of Townsville in nineteenth and early twentieth centuries; originals of extensive flooding, possibly Townsville, but not dated. In packet marked 'The University College of Townsville, Townsville' and addressed to Mr. J. W. Marshall.
