Official book of instructions in a 36-page internal publication issued by the Marine Board of Queensland, this book also consists of memoranda concerning pilotage, certificates and licences, descriptions of qualifications, and various rules from the Marine Board on renewal notices, registration transfers. On the front cover is the title 'The Marine Board of Queensland Certificates & Licences'. Within it are descriptions of the qualifications that Marine Board of Queensland employees such as waterman, puntman, marine motor engineer were expected to have. The memoranda that are attached to certain pages represent updates of pilotage exemption certificates and fees for certificates, etc. The book has no 'date of issue' inscription on it and it appears to have been used up to July, 1973.
