Cummins and Campbell Ltd

This firm was established in 1889 as wine and spirits and general merchants. The head office was in Flinders Street, Townsville. The founders were John Cummins and Aylmer Campbell.

The business grew rapidly and its activities extended throughout the sugar districts and the western pastoral and mining areas. Campbell opened a branch in Charters Towers.

In the late 1970s, Cummins and Campbell came under the control of Carlton and United Breweries.
