  • JCU staff may record off-air any broadcast transmission from radio (including podcasts of programs), and TV (including cable and satellite channels, and vodcasts of programs) under Part VA of the Copyright Act 1968 (the Screenrights licence). Screenrights copies of broadcasts can be displayed in a lecture and copied for delivery to students via LearnJCU. The Part VA electronic audio-visual notice must be displayed before the work. Library staff will attach this notice to the work.
  • The Screenrights licence does not cover the copying or communication of commercially purchased or hired videos/DVDs or sound recordings (see Miscellaneous Video or Music)
