1 Mount Molloy Limited
Date Range: 1903 - 1911

The Mount Molloy Copper Syndicate worked the copper mine at Mt Molloy, (initially discovered in 1885 and worked by Patrick Molloy) during the 1890s, before selling out to Melbourne speculators who failed due to low grade ore and poor management. Mount Molloy Limited was incorporated on 28th April 1905 to take over the Mount Molloy mines and smelters. In 1906 about ninety men were employed at the mine and 100 at the smelters. The mine and smelters shut down in 1909 due to insufficient ore, and the Mount Molloy Co was liquidated in 1916
